Cuting the bread
If you won’t finish your bread within 2 days, consider pre-slicing the loaf and storing the slices in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. Simply take out individual slices as needed and toast them directly from frozen for a quick, fresh-tasting option.
Perseveving the bread
If *frozen, the bread can be stored for up to 3 months. If kept at room temperature, it’s best enjoyed within 2 days for optimal freshness.
*After removing the bread from the freezer, allow it to thaw at room temperature for a few hours. Once thawed, pour cool water over the entire loaf to moisten the crust, then gently shake off any excess water. Place the bread directly on the oven rack and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is crisp and the interior is warmed through.
